Somer - This 2011 colt is sired by Soprano (Sandro Hit/Contender) out of Caprizi (Royal Prince/Caprimond). Somer's lineage has exceptional depth for a prospective athlete. Somer was awarded Premium at his GOV inspection with excellent comments. His sire, Soprano, is a striking and modern black 17.1h stallion who posseses correct conformation and three excellent gaits. Somer's grandsire, Sandro Hit, won the 1999 World Young Horse Champion and Bundeschampionate. Somer's dam, Caprizi, is a lovely 17.0h mare sired by Hilltop Farm's Royal Prince, who compteted in the 4 & 5 yr old FEI World Championships for Young Horses in Germany. Presently under his rider Chris Hickey, Royal Prince is successfully competing at Prix St George, demonstrating the athleticism that is characteristic of his sire Rohdiamant. Christopher Hickey commented "As he continues to move up the levels his correctness of rhythmn, exceptional reach and beautiful expression remain highlights." Somer's dam sire, Caprimond, was the 1998 Trakehner Stallion of the Year and is valued for siring offspring with beautiful heads and necks. He was a successful Grand Prix dressage horse with a breeding index of 138 points. Somer is a correct and beautiful colt with lovely uphill movement and a wonderful temperament.
