The sires of our young horses:  Note that we do not own these sires but we have selected them carefully for our mares.

The following item about Elisabeth and Olivier is an excerpt from an article published in DRESSAGEDAILY  dated June 18th of 2006.

Olivier

USEF Festival of Champions 2006

Elisabeth Austin and Olivier Win Inaugural Brentina Cup at Gladstone

"Olivier and Elisabeth Austin, 22, of Williston, Vermont, is the first winner of the Brentina Cup, an award launched in 2006 at the USET Foundation Dressage Festival of Champions presented by Paul Miller, Inc.  Austin topped a class of six entries aboard Olivier, a 10-year-old brown Dutch warmblood stallion (Idocus x Rowillie), earning a score of 70.390% in the FEI Intermediaire II." (In 2007, Elisabeth and Olivier defended their title and retain the Championship.)  Olivier is now competing at the Grand Prix Level and won both the Grand Prix special and the FEI High Score of the Show at the summer King Oak Dressage Competition.  This stallion is not only a top international level competitor, but he is also proving to be a very prepotent sire in that he consistently passes on his outstanding hind leg, his great disposition and his joy of life.  Over the years we have had several foals out of different mares and they have all been quite simply super.  We truthfully believe that this stallion will be hailed by all as one of the top stallions in the US.

LAS VEGAS

(Lancaster Tågerup)

Outstanding Young Sire in our program

Las Vegas - In 2006, he was approved for the Oldenburg Verband - North America at the High Point Hanoverian Stallion Inspection on July 2006.  Besides marveling the judges with his outstanding basic gaits, Las Vegas impressed immensely with his huge scope and potential over the fences.  In 2005 he was licensed for the Danish Warmblood Society and was approved for the performance testing at the 2005 Danish Warmblood Licensing in Herning, Denmark, under the name "Lancaster Tågerup".  Las Vegas is one of the best free jumpers in the country and as a dual talent, shows great promise to be a highly successful FEI dressage horse and, one day, compete at Grand Prix levels.  Las Vegas was sired by the 1995 Oldenburg Stallion Landtinus by the legendary Holsteiner stallion, Landadel, out of the famous Oldenburg mare line of Uta and was very successful in Denmark.  Landtinus, a Premium stallion at his Oldenburg Kuering in Germany and a stallion performance test winner, has in 2 years produced 10 licensed stallions to this time including Las Vegas aka Lancaster Tågerup. The Elite mare Utopia, Dam of Landtinus, has also produced St. Pr. St. / Elite and Brilliant ring mare Uganda; and Queen of movement and 1a German Show mare Utima, now a breeding pearl in the Bechtolsheimer stable. This multi purpose dam line excels in both Jumpers and dressage horses. Castanje Tagerup, dam of Las Vegas by the Danish approved Holsteiner stallion Lord Cantus completed an impressive mare performance test earning multiple 8’s from the test riders and for rideability from the head judge. She was entered into breeding upon completion of her test.

Florencio

The exceptional young stallion, Florencio, became World Champion of young dressage horses in 2004 where he scored an amazing total of 9.8. In addition, he won the Pavo-stallion cup in Holland and scored 10's for rideability during his 30 day test at Zweibrücken.  He went on to become the World Champion again in 2005.  His first crop of foals are quite promising and a Florencio son has been chosen to represent the Oldenburg breed at the 2007 Bundeschampionate.  The Oldenburg Stallion Licensing Committee has chosen Florencio as the winner of the the Hauptpremium title. His foals have been of excellent quality and many of them brought the top prices at the Vechta foal auctions.  We are looking forward to see what he and our wonderful new mare, Easy Go, will produce.

Farewell III

Another Fine Sire in our program

Farewell III won the 6 yr old division at the 2006 Bundeschampionate defeating the current double World Champion, Damon Hill NRW.  His sire, Fidermark, was German Champion and a successful international dam's sire, Rosenkavalier, is deemed the best Romadour II son, having started a new era in dressage horse breeding, especially through his son Rubinstein I. Farewell's dam, St. Pr. St. Riga, produced Farewell I (private stallion for Hanover/Oldenburg), Farewell II (private stallion in Westphalia) ad finally, Farewell III.  She had three approved sons in three consecutive years! Her full brother, Rosenquarz, is approved and stands at the State Stud in Warendorf. The dam's pedigree is of Hanoverian origin, based on the mare Deckspitze, by Dekan-Neheim. Riga's full sister, Roxanne, produced the approved stallion Florentianer (private stallion in Rhineland-Pfalz-Saar) by Florestan I.  He is registered Westphalian and GOV approved.   Sazarac has recently had a colt by this fine young stallion.
