This 2006 filly was GOV approved in 2007. Caprizi was sired by the Hanoverian stallion, Royal Prince, out of a lovely Trakehner mare by Caprimond. Royal Prince was the Reserve Champion of both his 30 day and 70 day stallion test and was a finalist at the Bundeschampionat. He earned 10s for rideability and walk at these events. Royal Prince won the 2004 National Championship title at the USEF/Markel National Young Horse Championship. At this event, he again received a 10 for his walk, 9s for submissiveness and his trot resulting in an overall score of 9.14. Royal Prince's sire is Rohdiamant who, in turn, is a son of Rubinstein I.
Caprizi's dam's sire is Caprimond. This stallion, a Trakehner, has consistently headed the Hanoverian rankings based on type. He scored an index of 183 to head up the 2007 Hanoverian standings and his son, Hohenstein, is now sixth on the same ranking. In 1988, Caprimond won his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf and placed first in dressage with a score of 147.76. He competed succesfully to Grand Prix levels and has been standing at Klosterhof Medingen since 1988. He has sired thirteen approved sons including Caprigold, Hohenstein I, and Hohenstein II. Caprimond sired the best 3 year old mare, Donaumarchen II, at the Federal Mare show. He was crowned Trakehner stallion of the year in 1998. Caprizi's dam line also includes Wendekreis who is regarded as one of the most influential stallions of the past few decades and is known as a producer of horses with excellent trainability.
Caprizi is quite tall, elegant, and inordinately sweet. She will be a great addition to any stable as a dressage or hunter prospect and, later, as a broodmare.
